Luminarium Dance Company is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization since receiving tax exempt status from the IRS in 2011. We rely on generous supporters like you to sustain our growth as a company, so that we can continue providing high-quality productions and outreach programs to the community that support our work. All sponsors receive company updates through an e-newsletter, special discounts, the first chance to purchase tickets, and more. Contributions in support of Luminarium Dance's work are greatly appreciated and may be made online or mailed (see below). In addition to monetary donations, we are always looking for community partners interested in providing discounts on technical equipment, supplies, travel, printing, and other in-kind donations. For a list of our current donors, visit our SUPPORTERS page.

Can't donate in a fiscal sense? Luminarium is in constant need of great volunteers. From sewing to photography, or simply if you have a desire to assist backstage, we need you!  Internships for college credit are also available both during the summer and academic year. If you're interested in a deeper level of commitment, please contact us to find out about opportunities to sit on our Board of Directors.

We encourage you to email us at info@luminariumdance.org to learn more about becoming a supporter, volunteer, intern, or board member!

*Valid for first ticket purchased only. Both tickets must be used on the same night, same performance.

$50 - Fifty dollars can go a long way. It can pay for gas money when we travel across the state, rehearsal space, or can even pay a dancer’s stipend for a local show. To thank you for donating $50, we will give you one free ticket to be used at any one show in Luminarium’s 2020 Season. You choose the show! Just tell us when you’d like to come…it’s on us.

*Single free ticket may be used at any point throughout the 2020 Season, but can only be used on one show.

$100 - Help fund the technology we need to make our performances dynamic! Every donation of $100 allows us to further our work with film, video projection, and creative lighting onstage. Enjoy a pair of free tickets to any one of Luminarium’s 2020 shows.

COMPANY SPONSORS

Donors at the Company Sponsor and Luminary Patron levels will receive a professional, artistic photograph of the company (framed and signed) of your choosing, in addition to the benefits below.

$250 - A gift of $250 provides the opportunity to collaborate with local visual artists, musicians, and costume designers to bring our new choreography to life. A gift of this size is accompanied by a pair of free to tickets to any one of Luminarium’s 2020 performances.

*Both tickets must be used on the same night, same performance. Valid for a single performance during Luminarium’s 2020 Season.

*Both tickets in the pair must be used on the same night for any given performance. Valid for all shows in Luminarium’s 2020 Season. Please notify Luminarium in advance if you wish to use your free tickets at an upcoming event, so that our box office may reserve your seat.

Description: Luminarium Dance Company is one of Boston’s most prominent rising dance companies, officially titled by the Improper Bostonian as one of ten ”stellar organizations that may have slipped under your radar” at the start of 2013, and praising its two directors as “unsung heroes” of the Boston arts scene. Join us as we grow Luminarium within the Boston area through a need to connect our community with dance; from firsthand arts learning experiences to stunning choreography infused with the innovative use of light. Luminarium is looking for qualified individuals to join its Board of Directors for 2018. The Board’s key responsibilities include: planning, financial oversight, fundraising, evaluation and monitoring, development, and public relations. Directors are elected to serve for an initial term of one year, and evaluate their relationship and its future at the end of the first year. The Board of Directors meets every other month and works collaboratively on a range of governance and fundraising initiatives. The company also holds subcommittee meetings, in the months between Board of Directors meetings, to carry out development and organizational planning, fiscal management, and to assist the company with special events such as the June Gala, and the 24-Hour ChoreoFest. Luminarium seeks individuals to join the Board who have a deep personal commitment to our mission, strong leadership experience, and powerful relationship-building and network-building practices. Without a strong Board, Luminarium cannot serve the Boston community to its fullest potential.

Qualifications: Applicants must have leadership experience and skills to contribute to the company's growth. A passion for dance, arts and community outreach and improvement through art is mandatory. Active engagement in 6 board meetings a year, and interest in various opportunities to be a part of a subcommittee or help in fundraising efforts is required.

How To Apply: Please send an email expressing your interest with a resume to info@luminariumdance.org, along with the completed application form below. Questions can be emailed to the above address, or you can call us at 617-477-4494.
